UNSCALED 4 - GAMEPLAY LOOP

  • You pick a character at the start of a run
  • You load into a random level from all stage 1 levels
    • You load into a level in the open skirmish area containing 3 accursed chains
    • Each accursed chain is a capture point that takes ~40 seconds to raise.
    • Once these are done, a boss room door is opened
    • You walk in, defeat the boss (maybe choose a perk for rest of run?? - more on next slide)
    • You leave the level in ~5 to 9 minutes 
      • Broken into 2 mins on objectives, 1-3 mins travel/combat time, 2-4 mins boss fight
  • Repeat above for 2 more stages
  • Final boss stage is undecided but will likely vary depending on character
  • Each run before boss should be around ~15-27 mins!

 

Making the Accursed Chain

Objective wise, the accursed chains are just classic capture points - if player is standing in the area, they will slowly make progress.

Im pretty proud of this little tool script. It lets the chain adapt to the size of the roof and sets the length of the chain depending on the roof height and capture progress combined!
